APA4514Metals/Jewellery 4C(A&D)
6 points + Second semester + Caulfield + 4 taught studio hours and 8 independent study hours per week + Prerequisites: APA4513 Synopsis: This subject further enhances the students' skills, processes, materials and experience with equipment necessary to the practice of jewellery or metalsmithing. Studio projects increasingly initiated by the student explore and consolidate knowledge of processes, materials and problem solving inherent to the construction of artefacts using sheet metals such as copper and its alloys, precious metals, steel and aluminium. The areas of either body adornment, or domestic functional/non-functional hollowware, or architectural illumination/decoration are selected and concentrated upon. Assessment: Folio: 100% |
