6 points + First and Second semester + Caulfield + 4 taught studio hours and 8 independent study hours. Corequisite: APA4511 Synopsis: This subject extends the study of skills, processes, materials and equipment necessary to the practice of jeweller or metalsmith which commenced with APA4511. Through a series of projects, processes and materials are explored in relation to their appropriate use in fabrication of crafted objects. Contemporary and historical examples are examined through visits to exhibitions and class discussion developing the student's critical verbal and written skills. Assessment: Folio: 100% |
