General information

Entry requirements

(a) Victorian Certificate of Education (VCE)

Satisfactory completion of the VCE, with a study score of at least 25 in units 3 and 4 English (any), and any two units from General Mathematics and/or Mathematical Methods at units 1 and 2 level.

(b) Comparable qualifications

Applicants may also satisfy entry requirements on the basis of qualifications deemed to be the equivalent of the above VCE. TAFE qualifications (eg the first year of a TAFE advanced diploma or a TAFE qualification that satisfies the first year of a TAFE advanced diploma) or comparable Year 12 qualifications, including International Baccalaureate or approved tertiary-level study completed in Victoria, other states of Australia or overseas, may satisfy entry requirements.

(c) Special admission

Students who have not successfully completed VCE or equivalent may satisfy entry requirements by completing with a credit average at least two Monash non-award single units or open learning (OLA) units. Course structure

The course involves four years full-time study or the equivalent in part-time study by off-campus distributed learning.
Students must complete units totalling 204 points, including 108 points from the Faculty of Business and Economics and 96 points from the Faculty of Arts.
To complete the Bachelor of Business and Commerce component, students must:
(a) undertake the six core Business and Economics units:

(b) complete a major of eight units with a minimum of two second and third-year units. Majors available at the Gippsland campus include accounting, economics, management, business law, electronic commerce and marketing.
(c) complete at least four third-year units from those offered by the campuses delivering this program.
