Master of Electronic Business


General information

Course code: 3168 + Course abbreviation: MElecBus + Course director: Dr Chris Dubelaar + Offered on campus at Caulfield + Normally completed in three semesters full-time or six semesters part-time study
This course comprises twelve coursework units and challenges students to come to terms with the technology and then pushes them to find new ways to develop business models and strategies for the 21st century. These challenges will hone students' skills so that they can enter the e-Business world with confidence and be able to contribute toward e-Business development in their chosen careers.
This is a full fee-paying course. Course fees are reviewed annually and are unit to change. Applicants should consult the Department of Marketing as to the 2002 fee.
Applicants must have a minimum of six years experience in a managerial or senior technical position with a minimum of two of those six years in relevant e-Business employment experience, have administered expenditure in excess of $500,000 per annum for at least three years, and have an employer recommendation.

Course structure

Units in the degree are arranged in three four-unit modules. Exit points allow those unable to complete all 12 units to exit the course at the end of a four-unit module and receive recognition for the units completed. Students exiting after completing the specific units in module 1 receive the Graduate Certificate in e-Business. After completing eight specific units in modules 1 and 2 students exiting would receive the Graduate Diploma in e-Business.
