Many
disciplines offer a Master of Arts entirely by coursework. All students must
complete 48 points of coursework units at level five in order to qualify for
the degree. In some cases, a research project of 12 or more points may be
included.
For students undertaking a Master of Arts or Master of Bioethics the minimum
pass is a credit 60 C. To qualify for the degree, students must have achieved a
credit or better in all units. Students enrolled in the Master of Environmental
Science degree must obtain a credit in all core and foundation units (these
units are defined by a 'C' or 'F' in the unit code) and a credit average over
all.
The minimum entry requirements are a four-year honours degree with a grade of H2B or above or a masters qualifying with grades of credit average or above or a graduate/postgraduate diploma with grades of credit average in a relevant discipline. Some sections and centres may require higher grades -- refer to the individual program for details.
The Master of Bioethics is offered by both off-campus distributed learning and on-campus modes.
