This double-degree course is designed to enable graduates to pursue a computing
career in areas requiring a strong business and commercial background, or a
career in one of the business discipline areas supported by commercially
relevant professional computing skills.
The course is directed towards intending students who have relevant career
goals and who combine ability with high motivation.
Applicants should have met the appropriate entry criteria for both the Bachelor of Business and Commerce and the Bachelor of Computing, that being a study score of 25 in English units 3 and 4 and a study score of 20 in an area of mathematics and any two other VCE studies.
(a) Completion
of Faculty of Business and Economics subjects with a total credit value of 108
points are to be completed, meeting the following requirements:
(i) Completion of six compulsory introductory six-point subjects, one in
each of the following business disciplines:
(ii) Completion of a business major sequence
of at least 48 points (eight subjects), including at least 12 points at each of
second and third levels. (One core subject from part (a) may form part of the
48 points requirement.)
(iii) Completion of at least 48 points of business subjects beyond first
level, including at least 24 points at third level (the business major sequence
meets part of this requirement).
(b) Completion of 96 points from the Faculty of Information Technology,
from the sequences available in the following computing majors:

Students select additional business or information technology subjects to complete the required 198 points minimum. Subjects can also be selected from other faculties.
