SWK4460Critical and Creative Social Work Theory and Practice(ART)
Chris Goddard 6 points + 2.5 hours per week + Second semester + Caulfield, distance + Prerequisites: SWK4410. Social Work subjects are available only within the context of the Bachelor of Social Work degree, or with permission of the head of Social Work. Synopsis: The subject comprises two parts. 'Critical and Creative Social Work Theory and Practice' is a critical examination of social work theory as a basis for the integration of social work knowledge and practice. 'Child Abuse and Child Protection' uses the same principles in a critical examination of the child protection field. Assessment: Critical and Creative Social Work Theory and Practice - Essay (2250 words): 50% + Class presentation (750 words): 20% + Child Abuse and Child Protection - Essay (1500 words): 30% |
