PMM1010Introductory business law and accounting for non-business students(SCI)
6 points + Two 1-hour lectures and one 1-hour practical lab per week + First/ Second Semester + Caulfield/ Distance + Prohibition: This subject cannot be undertaken by students who have completed AFX1110 or AFF1110 Synopsis: This subject will introduce students to the legal framework that regulates business practice, with special emphasis on the areas of law relevant to psychologists working in either Marketing or Management related occupations. It will also introduce the legal requirements companies must follow when reporting financial information. Finally, it will develop students' abilities to interpret and critically analyse financial information presented both internally within an organisation, and externally to stakeholders. Assessment: Examination (3.5 hours): 60% + Tutorial Exercises: 10% + Two written assignments: 30% |
