Synopsis: Explores regression methods used in epidemiological research through research data analysis and the critical appraisal of published articles. Covers traditional methods of linear, logistic poisson & proportional hazards regression models and examining their specification, fitting & diagnostics. Also modern methods such as bootstrap handling of clustered & repeated measures data and introduction to generalised additive models. Combination of formal lectures, discussion sessions & data analysis using laptop computers.

Assessment: Written assignments + Oral presentation + Class exercises
