Synopsis: Practical application of statistical analysis of data for many commonly encountered epidemiological study designs. Focus on logical construction rather than mathematical formulation; ensuring applicability; computational methods and potential difficulties. Topics include sample size selection, categorical data methods using stratification, confounding & effect modification assessment, linear & logistic regression methods and survival data analysis. Students can purchase at a discounted price the Stata statistical software package used from the Dept.
