Associate Professor Helen De Cieri 6 points + 3-hour class per week, block mode + Second semester + Caulfield + Prerequisite: MGX9850 or appropriate prior human resource studies Synopsis: The interaction of external environment, organisational factors and strategic human resource management (SHRM) is examined from multiple perspectives. Special emphasis will be given to strategic choices facing the organisation in the areas of business planning, building SHRM architecture and capabilities, organisational restructuring, SHRM program evaluation. The implications of SHRM for organisational performance are examined. Assessment: Group presentation and assignment: 25% + Individual written assignment (4000 words): 50% + Examination (2 hours): 25% |
