Organisational change and development

6 points + Two 1-hour lectures and one 1-hour tutorial per week + Distance, approximately 12 hours per week + Malaysia, Peninsula, second semester + Berwick, Gippsland, Distance, first semester + Prerequisite: MGW1010 or equivalent + Prohibitions: MGB2320, MGG2320, MGW3130, MGX2621

Synopsis: Theory of organisation change and development, the role of the change practitioner, change dynamics. Process of planned change - contracting and diagnosis, collecting, analysing and feeding back data, managing, evaluating and institutionalising interventions. Change interventions - people, structure and strategy domains. Integration - change and management, reframing, future directions, revision.

Assessment: On campus: Individual assignment: 20% + Team presentation and report: 25% + Participation: 5% + Examination (3 hours): 50%. Distance: Two assignments: 50% + Examination (3 hours): 50%
