Dr Cherrie Zhu 6 points + Two 1-hour lectures per week and one 1-hour tutorial per week + First and second semester + Clayton + Prerequisites: MGC1010, or permission Synopsis: This subject provides an introduction to the factors involved in the effective utilisation of people within organisations. Topics include analysis of the global context for human resource management (HRM); the strategic role of HRM; human resource planning; job analysis; staffing; performance management; training and development; remuneration; and legal issues in HRM, including EEO and occupational health and safety.
