KOR1220Intermediate Korean, part 2(ART)
Young-A Cho 6 points + 4 hours per week + Second semester + Clayton and Berwick + Prerequisites: VCE Korean or equivalent + Prohibitions: KOR2220 Synopsis: Consolidation and extension of KOR1210. Topics include everyday social situations, such as narrating personal experiences, enquiring about or expressing knowledge and opinions, and making arrangements. Students will read simplified texts from newspapers, and write simple texts such as a diary. They will be introduced to expressions in different registers in the spoken and written language and the social and cultural aspects of Korean society necessary to understand them. Assessment: Examination (3 hours): 40% + Quizzes: 20% + Oral test (10 minutes): 20% + Homework (3 writing tasks and 3 web tasks): 20% |
