KOR1210Intermediate Korean, Part 1(ART)
Young-A Cho 6 points + 4 hours per week + First semester + Clayton and Berwick + Prerequisites: VCE Korean or equivalent + Prohibitions: KOR2210 Synopsis: Develops lower intermediate competence in the contemporary Korean language, emphasising active oral and writing skills and socio-cultural aspects of communication. Topics covered include communicating in everyday social situations, such as talking about educational background and describing jobs. Students will read highly simplified texts from magazines and newspapers, and write simple texts such as a personal letter or a report of an everyday event. Assessment: Examination (3 hours): 40% + Quizzes: 20% + Oral test (10 minutes): 20% + Homework (3 writing tasks and 3 web tasks): 20% |
