Synopsis: Design of reinforced concrete flat slab, idealised frame method of slab analysis. Analysis and design of reinforced concrete slender columns, prestressed concrete elements. Preliminary design of reinforced concrete buildings, analysis and design of a steel portal frame. Steel-concrete composite beams. Relevant design standards.

Assessment: Examination: 70% + Assignments: 30%
