Synopsis: Design of reinforced concrete beams, slabs and short columns. Analysis and design of steel compression members, steel beams for lateral torsional buckling, thin plate steel elements in shear, buckling, bending and bearing, steel structural elements under combined actions. Relevant design standards.

Assessment: Examination: 70% + Assignments: 30%
