12 points + 10 studio hours and 14 independent study hours per week + First semester + Caulfield + Prerequisites: FNA1201,FNA1202

Synopsis: A development of the basic painting skills and techniques acquired in the first year of the course. Students articulate their emerging conceptual and expressive strengths so these may be developed in subsequent years. Set projects still occur but the emphasis is on self-motivated approaches. Teaching methods concentrate on individual tuition, group critique and discussion.
