BEW2621Commercial aspects of electronic commerce(BUS)
Malaysia: Mr Chew Kok Wai 6 points + Second semester + Two 1-hour lectures and one 1-hour tutorial per week + Distance, Singapore, Malaysia + Prerequisite: BEW1601 Synopsis: Commercial applications of electronic commerce and its enabling technologies. Social, legal and economic implications. Other issues include systems lifecycles and information systems architecture; electronic exchanges; security issues, authentication, smart cards, banking practices using electronic commerce, information exchange processes and EDI; encryption methodologies; control and audit issues; legal issues and their implications at national and international levels. Assessment: Assignment 1 (2000 words): 20% + Assignment 2 (research report - 2500 words): 30% + Examination (3 hours): 50% |
