Advanced material and technology 2

3 points + 2 hours in class and 4 independent study hours + Second semester + Caulfield + Prerequisite: APA2201 + Elective within BAppA,BFA,BVA,BID,BDes

Synopsis: Studio at this advanced level in Visual Arts is research orientated and non-prescriptive in terms of content. It is assumed that students already have a sound understanding of materials used and relevant technologies. Projects are determined by and continguent upon individual interests and needs. Students produce a written proposal of their investigative topic at the beginning of the semester; and consult regularly with their lecturers on its implmentation. Students are encouraged to identify, analyse and discuss issues related to both the practical and theoretical content of their advanced area of study.

Assessment: Folio and research paper + Mid semester:20% + End of semester:80%
