This 12-subject course offers high achievers from varied backgrounds the
opportunity to undertake an academically rigorous and professionally relevant
program of study in international business. Our reputation in international
business means that Monash University's Master of Management (International
Business) students are very well-placed to lead their companies through the
internationalisation process both because of what they have learned and because
employers recognise the high standard of graduate study at Monash
University.
The degree can be completed by either a coursework option or by a coursework
and research paper option.
Applicants require a pass degree or an equivalent qualification from a
recognised tertiary institution, or an executive certificate from this faculty
with a credit average or above. Candidates may be eligible for a maximum of
eight credit exemptions for subjects considered to be equivalent to particular
requirements in the course of study. Refer to the course director for further
details.
This is a fee-paying course. Candidates should consult the Department of
Management as to the 2001 course fee. Course fees are set and reviewed annually
and are therefore subject to change.
The
course consists of eight core subjects and four electives.

electives chosen from 5000-level graduate subjects taught by the Department of
Management, other departments in the Faculty of Business and Economics, or
other faculties of Monash University, subject to course director approval
or
Two electives chosen from 5000 level graduate subjects taught by the Department
of Management, other departments from the Faculty of Business and Economics, or
other faculties of Monash University with course director approval, and a
10,000 word research paper (equivalent to two subjects).
Students should complete four 9000-level graduate subjects before commencing
5000-level-subjects and must obtain course director approval for any variation.
