Evaluation
This course is designed to provide those involved in the health care industry
with intensive training in the economic approach to policy and evaluation. The
economic analysis of developments in the health care sector is of interest to
those involved in the production, use, delivery and regulation of health care
programs and interventions.
Applicants require a pass degree or an equivalent qualification from a
recognised tertiary institution plus a minimum of two years relevant employment
experience.
This is a fee-paying course. Candidates should consult the Health Economics
Unit (Department of Economics) as to the 2001 course fee. Course fees are set
and reviewed annually and are therefore subject to change.
The graduate certificate is normally completed in two semesters of part-time
study. Candidates may be eligible for a maximum of two credit exemptions for
subjects considered to be equivalent to particular subjects in the course of
study. Refer to the course director for further details.
