The course is designed to provide training in the health benefits and risks of exercise for all sectors of the population. The course meets the educational needs of many groups of professional people who are in a position to prescribe scientifically validated exercise techniques for health benefit across the community These include general practitioners, nurses, occupational therapists, exercise scientists, physical education teachers, professional physical training instructors, community health care professionals.
Entry will be open to graduates with a relevant pass degree or equivalent qualification from a recognised tertiary institution.
The course is conducted over 12 months or 24 months part-time or six months full-time. The course is conducted entirely by distance education.

Applications will be accepted after 25 September 2000 and up until 24 November 2000. Late applications may be accepted, subject to available course places. Applicants should check with Dr Griffiths for availability. Mid-year enrolments will also be accepted.
