The Bachelor of Business/Diploma in Hospitality (Management) offers students the opportunity to graduate with two separate awards - a Bachelor of Business degree from Monash University and a Diploma in Hospitality (Management) from East Gippsland Institute of TAFE. When taken in combination, students are able to cross-credit subjects from one award to the other, allowing them to complete both courses within four years of full-time study.

Course structure

The Bachelor of Business/Diploma in Hospitality (Management) is undertaken by a combination of on-campus and off-campus study. The double-award course is normally taken over four years full-time study or eight years part-time study.
Candidates are required to meet the following requirements in the Bachelor of Business:
(a) satisfactory completion of at least 96 credit points, including seven compulsory core subjects to the value of 42 credit points as follows:

(b) satisfactory completion of two major studies of at least 36 credit points each (six subjects) in two of the following business teaching areas: accounting, economics, management, marketing and tourism management
(c) undertake any additional studies required to complete the minimum 96 credit points needed to meet the Bachelor of Business requirements of the double award.
