Synopsis: A study of the literature produced in Spanish America from 1890 until the present day. The readings include poetry, short stories and novels from Spanish American countries including Mexico, Central America, Venezuela, Argentina and Chile.

Assessment: Final essay (2500 words): 40% + Reading controls: 20% + Two take-home examinations: 40%
