Synopsis: This subject can be taken together with another twelve-point third-year subject, including PHS3062. The subject consists of four core units of /Advanced quantum physics0, /Nuclear physics0, /Solid state physics0, /Relativistic mechanics and fields0 and a twelve-hour seminar program half-unit. The remaining elective unit will normally be chosen from physics units listed but approval may be granted for a subject or unit from another department.
Assessment: Examinations (5 x 1.5 hours): 80% + Professional studies assignments and seminar contribution: 20%
