Synopsis: This subject can be taken together with another twelve-point third-year subject, including PHS3051. The subject consists of five core units of /Applications of quantum mechanics0, /Complex analysis in physics0, /Electromagnetism0, /Optics0 and /Statistical mechanics0. The remaining unit comprises /Professional studies 10 and a twelve-hour seminar program.

Assessment: Examinations (5 x 1.5 hours): 80% + Professional Studies assignments and seminar contribution: 20%
