3 Points + 6 hours per week comprising 2 hours of lectures, tutorials and workshops and 4 independent study hours + First and second semester + Caulfield and Gippsland + Prerequisites: PHO1111 or PHO1121 or PHO1201 or PHO1101 + Corequisites: None + Prohibitions: None + Electives for BVA, BFA, BDes, BDes(VC) and other courses which give permission.

Synopsis: This subject builds on the skills and knowledge acquired in Photomedia 1B, 1A or equivalent. Within the context of a visual art practice students will continue to develop the conceptual foundation for their art practice and produce photographic imagery. Students will extend on their knowledge of contemporary and historical photomedia and develop a greater understanding of the role of photography in contemporary visual art practice. Students will undertake a range of projects designed to stimulate an awareness of the formal and conceptual qualities of photogarphy.

Assessment: Major self determined project (50%), set projects (20%) to be assess in week 6; journal (20%) and participation (10%).
