6 points + 3-hour class per week + Caulfield and Peninsula + Prerequisite: MGX1230 or MGX1300

Synopsis: Extends and develops students' understanding of issues and concepts in organisational communication, with particular emphasis on oral presentation skills. Fundamentals of communication in terms of oral presentations and business report writing, issues/concepts of managerial communication, including organisational communication, communicating in teams, interpersonal communication, assertiveness skills for managers, handling conflict, negotiation and selection interviewing.

Assessment: Individual presentation: 10% + Topic paper (3000-3500 words): 40% + Major topic presentation: 15% + Conference presentation (20%) and report (15%)
