Synopsis: Design applications of plastics; plastics materials and process interaction; plastics performance and environmental exposure; the use of engineering thermoplastics; properties of plastics and testing procedures. Guidelines for designing injection mouldings; plastics fastening and joining techniques and applications of mechanical snap fits and press fits. RIM moulding and polyurethane foams; extrusion design and processing.
