Interior architecture studio 3

6 points + 4 studio hours and 8 independent study hours per week + First semester + Caulfield + Prerequisites: IAR1102, IAR1301, IAR1302 + Corequisites: IAR2201, IAR2202

Synopsis: This subject and IAR2104 are the key subjects for developing interior architecture design capabilities. In this subject, the focus is on exposing students to problems which include a variety of interior architectural factors, and applying methodologies to coordinate their analysis and to achieve a holistically integrated design that addresses human needs. The projects are set in a variety of domestic and/or commercial contexts, involving simple structural and constructional requirements and basic services issues.

Assessment: Major design project: 90% + Oral and written presentation: 10%
