Synopsis: Study of various sensors for robotic systems including infrared, sonar, odour, tactile and vision based sensors for perceiving the environment. Study of various techniques for integrating and processing the data from various sensors or sensor array. Design and development of a model robot with different sensors, associated electronics and software, by use of information from various sensors.

Assessment: Examination: 50% + Assignments: 20% + Laboratory work 30%
