Synopsis: A study of the High Court Mabo decision, the Native Title Act and an historical overview of the land rights decision. Historical and contemporary perspectives on land tenure, British law, colonisation, sovereignity, and the land rights movement.
Assessment: Tutorial presentation and written summary (1000 words): 25% + Essay (3000 words): 35% + Examination (two hours): 40%
