Indigenous people and management of the tourism industry

8 points + 3 hours per week + Second semester + Gippsland, distance + Prerequisites: GSC1801, GSC1808

Synopsis: The contribution of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people to the tourism industry in Australia. Case studies will provide the framework to study the various tourist attractions and management arrangements; particulary the level and nature of involvement of indigenous Australians.

Assessment: Research proposal (1000 words): 20% + Case study (3500 words): 50% + Examination (1.5 hours): 30%
