Synopsis: This subject introduces the student to the potential of computers as tools for artists and designers working in three demensions (3D). While the acquisition of skills, in particular the ability to create, adapt, edit and manipulate elements and objects within space, is an essential component of this subject, emphasis is also placed on the encouraging the student's creative and expressive abilities using this medium. Demonstrations and lectures on the techniques and capabilities of a range of computer software options followed by the opportunity for students to independently expore the strenghts, nuances and opportunities offered by the software.
