Synopsis: Advanced principles of page layout and desktop publishing applications, the typical products of which are printed material. Establishing, defining and maintaining typographic standards, working with colour standards/systems, and acquiring images from a variety of sources, such as reflective and transparent material or CD ROM. Projects involve creating documents, defining grids and master page elements, importing and formatting text, preparation and placement of images/graphics, linking, updating and general file and project management related to digital artwork preparation.

Assessment: Exercises: 40% + Project work: 50% + Journal: 10%
