Synopsis: Principles of page layout and desktop publishing applications for which the typical outcome is printed material. Design and advertising industry standard applications. Projects involve creating documents, defining grids and mastering page elements, importing and formatting text, preparation and placement of images and/or graphics, as well as linking, updating and general file and project management.

Assessment: Exercises: 40% + Project work: 50% + Journal: 10%
