Synopsis: Fundamental principles and practices specific to adults and children undergoing and recovering from surgery and anaesthesia. Commonly used anaesthetic agents, anaesthetic equipment, physiologic monitoring, pain management and fluid replacement therapy. Clinical experience will allow consolidation of this knowledge.
