Synopsis: A study of underlying pathophysiological processes occuring in disease states building upon the student's knowledge of altered physiology by exploring health breakdown in simulated and actual patients using a problem-based approach. Topics include cellular, respiratory, cardiovascular, neurological, renal, gastronomical, haematological, immunological, and musculoskeletal physiology. Shock, multisystem organ failure and burns are also included.
