Synopsis: The practice and theory of glass as a medium for contemporary creative expression, including a foundation for two- and three-dimensional glass practice. Hot blown, kiln-formed and architectural forms of glass making. Historical and cultural aspects of glass are explored through lectures, tutorials and appropriate site visits. Studio sessions place particular emphasis on the relationships between concept, design and process in order to achieve artistic goals.
