Synopsis: This subject aims to help students understand the nature and role of costs in management planning, control and decision making; prepare plans using cost-volume-profit techniques; prepare budgets; use discounted cash flow techniques to evaluate investment projects; use variances to control costs; and understand measures of divisional performance.
Assessment: Tutorial: 10% + Assignment: 20% + Mid semester test: 20% + Examination (3 hours): 50%
