This eight-subject course has been designed to enhance and develop the
student's management knowledge and skills in a range of important areas
including self-management, people management, systems thinking, individual and
organisational learning and change, information management, finance and
strategy. Students will be able to develop a better understanding of the
complex set of inter-related competencies required to be both personally and
professionally successful in a turbulent and changing business environment such
as exists today.
Applicants require a pass degree or equivalent qualification from a recognised
tertiary institution plus a minimum of two years relevant employment experience
or an executive certificate offered by this faculty with an average grade of
credit or above.
This is a fee-paying course. Applicants should consult the Department of
Management as to the 2000 course fee. Course fees are set and reviewed annually
and are therefore subject to change. Candidates may be eligible for a maximum
of four credit exemptions for subjects considered to be equivalent to
particular subjects in the course of study. Refer to the course director for
further details.
Students who successfully complete the Graduate Diploma in Business Management,
including successful studies in two masters 5000 level subjects from the
Department of Management, and achieve an overall credit average or above, will
be able to articulate directly into one of the Department of Management's
masters programs. To complete a masters program, students will be required to
complete a further four masters 5000 level subjects.
