This course offers specialised studies in banking and finance for people
working in the financial services and corporate treasury sectors. The program
provides candidates with the conceptual and managerial decision-making skills
necessary for effective management in the continuously changing domestic and
international financial market environment. Course intake is available semester
one and semester two.
Applicants require a pass degree or an equivalent qualification from a
recognised tertiary institution, or an executive certificate from this faculty
with an average grade of credit or above. Candidates may be eligible for a
maximum of four credit exemptions for subjects considered to be equivalent to
particular subjects in the course of study. Refer to the course director for
further details.
This is a fee-paying course. Candidates should refer to the Department of
Accounting and Finance as to the 2000 course fee. Course fees are set and
reviewed annually and are therefore subject to change.
The Australian Institute of Banking and Finance recognises this program as
satisfying the educational requirements for advancement to senior associate
status. Prospective applicants should contact the Australian Institute of
Banking and Finance for details.
Students who successfully complete the Graduate Diploma in Banking and Finance
with an average grade of credit or above may apply for admission to the Master
of Applied Finance, the Master of Business (Banking and Finance), or the Master
of Banking.
