Objectives This subject aims to extend the knowledge
and skills base developed in RAD3052 Students will develop the requisite
understanding and skills necessary to the conduct of sonographic examinations
of the reproductive system. Completion of this subject will also enable
students to recognise and describe the sonographic appearances of the
reproductive system.
Synopsis Sonographic anatomy of the reproductive system. Scanning
methods for gynaecological ultrasound and ultrasound of the testes. Selection
of appropriate instrumentation and transducer. Optimisation of technical
factors. Artifacts. Selection of images to record relevant anatomy and
pathology. Anotating the image. The presentation of sonographic information for
reporting.
