Advanced reliability

Objectives The student is expected to gain a basic understanding of the advanced techniques to predict and increase systems reliability; the skills required to optimally manage reliability information; and a basic knowledge of advanced and strategic reliability.

Synopsis The subject examines the monitoring of a system, the design of a sensor system, synthesis of fault trees with control loops and knowledge engineering and isolation of cause. Other topics include human reliability and adversary modelling and reliability optimisation techniques.
