Objectives Upon successful completion of this subject, students should have developed knowledge and understanding of the impact of principles and policies in regard to children and adolescents with special needs in schools and other settings. Students should also have developed a knowledge of the processes involved in the restructuring for inclusion.
Synopsis This subject focuses on the process of collaborative consultation within organisations. Areas of discussion will include the principles and policies of integration and inclusion in both the education and human services context, the role of leadership in the change process, professionals as agents of change in collaborative partnerships and strategies to support the facilitation of change. Students will be required to read widely and to participate in regular lecture-discussions and practical sessions.
Assessment Major and minor assignments (2000 and 1500 words): 80% - Class presentation: 20%
