Objectives Upon successful completion of this subject, students should be able to understand the basic processes involved in software construction; demonstrate a critical appreciation of key components and operations of computer languages, fundamental principles of software design and structure, and basic elements of programming style; apply computer programming skills directly in the classroom; apply low-level computer programming concepts analytically, confidently and creatively.

Synopsis Programming is covered as a system of thought. Programming skills and practices are viewed in the context of direct classroom application. Students develop a critical understanding of the construction of software.

Assessment Assignments 1 and 2: 25% each - Assignment 3: 50%
