Management of library and information services

In the subject students examine the environments in which libraries and information services operate. Management theory is combined with practical applications to develop general management skills and knowledge. The management of a wide range of resources is covered -- people, finance, facilities and equipment, information technology, products and services. Consideration is also given to the design, development and promotion of new programs; to performance evaluation; best practice and change management.
