Developing communities through the Internet

The purpose of this course is to develop a thorough understanding of the new forms of community information networks which are evolving through the virtual communities of the Internet. Students will explore a range of key issues, from practical implementation to wider information management and telecommunications policy. The subject also covers services provides by these structures.
