This subject is designed to provide legal knowledge and skills essential to recordkeeping professional work in Australia with some reference to the international context. Sources of law, including legislation, case law, and codes of ethics and practice, specifically applicable to the juridical and legal context of recordkeeping are covered. Using the juridical approach to recordkeeping, students are given a framework to develop the knowledge and skills which will allow them to apply appropriate legal strategies to recordkeeping issues in different social, organisational and technological contexts.
